The Value Cards invite children to explore the values that help guide how we care for ourselves, others and the world around us.
Values help children understand what matters within relationships and communities. These cards gently introduce ideas such as kindness, fairness, honesty and respect, encouraging children to reflect on how their choices and actions can support positive connections with others.
Through conversation and reflection, children begin to recognise that values are something we practise and grow over time. The cards create opportunities for children to notice when they are showing these qualities and to think about how they can use them in everyday situations.
The cards can be used during conversations, reflection moments, play sessions, or group discussions. They offer meaningful prompts that support children to think about how their actions affect others and how values help guide our behaviour within a community.
Grounded in strengths-based practice and the Equichild Framework, the Value Cards support educators, therapists and facilitators to nurture children’s developing sense of responsibility, empathy and belonging.
