Ethical & Practice Foundations
The Little Hooves Facilitator Training is grounded in the values of the Equichild Framework and reflects a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and non-pathologising approach.

At the heart of this training is the belief that:
-
every child is capable, whole, and developing in their own time
-
behaviour is communication, not something to be corrected
-
connection and safety are the foundation for all learning
Facilitators are guided to:
-
respond with curiosity rather than judgement
-
prioritise emotional safety for both children and ponies
-
honour each child’s individual way of engaging and expressing themselves
This approach supports the development of environments where children feel seen, safe, and supported to be themselves.
