The Strength Cards invite children to discover and name the strengths that already live within them.
Rather than focusing on what children cannot do, these cards gently guide children to recognise qualities such as kindness, courage, persistence, curiosity and patience. By noticing and naming these strengths, children begin to build a positive sense of identity and develop confidence in who they are becoming.
The cards can be used during conversations, reflection moments, play sessions, or group discussions. They offer simple, meaningful prompts that help children recognise their efforts, celebrate their abilities and understand that strengths can grow with practice and support.
Grounded in strengths-based practice and the Equichild Framework, the Strength Cards support educators, therapists and facilitators to nurture a child’s developing identity in a way that feels natural, respectful and empowering.
