The Regulation Cards invite children to explore simple and supportive ways to help their bodies and minds return to a place of calm and balance.

Rather than telling children to “calm down,” these cards gently guide them to notice what their body may need in the moment. Through simple strategies such as breathing, movement, rhythm or quiet reflection, children learn that regulation is a skill that can be practiced and strengthened over time.

The cards can be used during conversations, reflection moments, play sessions, or group discussions. They offer practical prompts that help children pause, reset and discover strategies that support their wellbeing and emotional balance.

Grounded in co-regulation and the Equichild Framework, the Regulation Cards support educators, therapists and facilitators to guide children in developing self-regulation skills in a way that feels supportive, respectful and empowering.
